“Running the marathon with Team Special Children’s Charities is incredibly meaningful to me because it brings together two things that have been important throughout my life.

I have a family member with a disability, so SCC’s mission to support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities is one that feels very personal. I’ve seen how important inclusion, resources, and community support are for individuals and their families, and I’m proud to run for an organization that helps make those opportunities possible.

Running a marathon has also been a lifelong dream of mine. Ever since I was a kid, whenever I was asked to write down a goal for the future, completing a marathon was always at the top of my list. Now, getting to achieve that dream while raising awareness and funds for a cause that means so much to me makes this experience even more special.”
