Partnering to Expand Inclusive Opportunities Across Chicago

Special Children’s Charities partners with Chicago companies to expand access to inclusive athletics, arts, and enrichment opportunities for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Through these partnerships, companies help ensure individuals with disabilities have opportunities to participate in recreation, creative expression, and community life across parks, schools, and neighborhoods throughout Chicago.

Corporate partners help Special Children’s Charities invest more than $5 million annually in inclusive opportunities across Chicago.

Corporate partners play a vital role in expanding access to these opportunities, supporting programs across the city and engaging through signature events that bring the community together.

Ways to Partner

Corporate partners help expand inclusive opportunities across three key areas:

High-Impact Programming

Sports & Recreation

Building confidence, fitness and teamwork through inclusive sports.

Life
Enrichment

Opening doors to cultural experiences, social connection and personal growth.

Art & Music Therapy

Fostering creativity, expression and emotional well-being.

Increasing Access to Participation

Inclusion is created through connection and belonging. SCC does this intentionally through removing barriers that typically keep individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities isolated from community life.

Corporate partners help remove barriers to participation by supporting transportation that connects individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to programs and events across Chicago.

Community Celebrations of Inclusion

Building a community that celebrates inclusion is an essential part of SCC’s work. Each year, we bring together participants, families, volunteers, and corporate partners through citywide events celebrating the achievements and contributions of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Annual Celebrations:

  • Golden Games
  • All-Star Fest at Maggie Daley Park
  • MSI Holiday Experience

Corporate sponsors help make these events possible while engaging employees and the broader community in SCC’s mission.

Engage Employees in Community Impact

Companies can involve employees through volunteer opportunities and community engagement activities supporting programs and events across Chicago.

Giving Tuesday is today!

Special Children’s Charities provides free, year-round programs for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities across all 77 Chicago neighborhoods. Nearly 70% of participants live below the poverty line, so removing financial barriers is essential to ensuring access, inclusion, and joy.

Give to Special Children’s Charities this Giving Tuesday and help us meet our fundraising goal of $10,000!
