Marathon Monday: Lexi Cogley

Watching Joy find connection and purpose through sports has shaped the way I view inclusive athletics and deepened my appreciation for organizations like SCC that make these experiences possible.

Marathon Monday: Iris Pegeron

I chose Special Children’s Charities because their mission—to enhance the quality of life for children and adults with developmental disabilities—mirrors what running gives me: strength, confidence, and connection

Marathon Monday: Tricia Resetar

I know firsthand the challenges, heartbreaks, small victories, and strength it takes to navigate this journey — not just for the children, but for their families as well.

Marathon Monday: Jen Todino

What makes Marathon Day so special is it represents all the core values of SCC: inclusivity, empowerment, community, inspiration and respect.

Giving Tuesday is today!

Special Children’s Charities provides free, year-round programs for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities across all 77 Chicago neighborhoods. Nearly 70% of participants live below the poverty line, so removing financial barriers is essential to ensuring access, inclusion, and joy.

Give to Special Children’s Charities this Giving Tuesday and help us meet our fundraising goal of $10,000!
