Every Monday, we celebrate the runners who have joined Team Special Children’s Charities for the Bank of America Chicago Marathon.
This incredible team is using their miles to support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Chicago. We are so grateful for their dedication and generosity!
This week’s featured runner is Katherine Nappi. Katherine is hoping that running for Team SCC will help inspire her two daughters.
“When I signed up for the Chicago Marathon, I wanted it to be about more than just running 26.2 miles.
As a mom of two, this journey is also about showing my kids the power of inclusion, empowerment, and giving back.
I’m proud to be running in support of Special Children’s Charities, helping create opportunities for children and adults with disabilities to feel included, supported, and empowered.
Training isn’t always easy, but every mile reminds me why this matters and who I’m running for.
If you’re able to, I would love your support. Every donation makes a real impact and helps move this mission forward. Thank you for being part of this journey with me.”
Thank you so much to Katherine for being a part of our team! Support her effort by making a donation to her campaign today!
