On Sunday\, September 13\, 2026\, runners and walkers will once again have the rare opportunity to take over the airfield at Chicago Midway International Airport for a race experience unlike any other.\n\nThis race is a powerful opportunity to bring together community\, aviation\, and philanthropy in support of our work at Special Children’s Charities. \n\nThis race is presented in partnership with Southwest Airlines\, Chicago Department of Aviation\, and Midway Management Group.\n				\n				\n				\n		\n				\n				\n							\n			\n											\n					\n						\n				\n				\n					\n				\n				\n		\n					\n		\n		\n				\n				\n					Why run with us?				\n				\n				\n				\n									Whether you’re a competitive runner\, casual walker\, or looking for a fun family outing\, there’s something for everyone.  								\n				\n				\n				\n									The Midway 5K Run/Walk (3.1 miles)The Midway Miler\, a 1-mile race for kids ages 10 and underAll entries include a race bib\, commemorative T-shirt\, and more.
